New Georgian brand of dried fruits

GGM daughter company “KERKI” LLC began construction works of a dried fruit enterprise in village
Dzentsmani, Keda Municipality, Ajara, Georgia in August 2020, during COVID pandemic period, but since
March 2021, the enterprise had already been operating in a test mode.




Since December, a new Georgian dried fruit producer brand -”KERKI” appeared on the market.

This was the first attempt to pack traditionally processed, dried and “strung on threads” 100% natural
persimmons and apples, so as tangerines into high standard packages.




The enterprise team operates on 5 main types of products: variety of dried fruits, churchkhela –
Georgian traditional candy, variety of fruit leathers, candied fruits and variety of nuts.

“KERKI” offer its customers so called family and “Doy” packs of the highest standards, manufactured in
accordance with ISO requirements.




At present “KERKI” products can be purchased in chain stores in Tbilisi and Batumi. “KERKI” hosted a lot of visitors at the enterprise, operating in village Dzentsmani, Keda Municipality,
Ajara.





It is worth mentioning that new Georgian brand of dried fruits has already been presented at large-scale
international exhibitions of beverages and food products, where Georgian natural products appeared on
a global scale and the first export of “KERKI” was performed.





“KERKI” is an old Georgian word, which is used in some of the regions of Georgia till present and
denotes sun dried stone fruits.

 

The enterprise was launched with the financial support of state programs, TBC Bank and donor
organizations.
